Retro bathroom renovation reveal

Updated: Jul 19

There's nothing quite like an avocado bathroom…well actually avocado and lemon was the original colour combo! Even the original Royal Dolton basin. When choosing to renovate the client had decided it was time to shed the old. The brief was developed to accommodate three young children and a busy family life.

The original home was built in the 1950’s and so when renovating the client wanted to keep the authentic feel of the original period while bringing the bathroom into the present.

The Inspiration:

Using Pinterest and sourcing ideas from various home and living websites the clients had some definite thoughts on what they wanted the space to feel like. Yellow Fox was the design partner chosen for the project and assisted our client with colour choices, product selection, when making decisions on ideas.

The end result

Keeping the home in theme with the period it was built with colours and detail finishes that give a warm nod to the heritage of the original homes era. A great example of this is the colour of the drawers in the bathroom cabinet and the era feature handles.
